It was another end of an era this Bank holiday weekend as Pete Rumble’s U16s Sports team played their last games for Meadow on Tour in Worthing. They reached the semi finals, another great achievement for a team that have had some fantastic results over the last five years. Well done Pete, Andy, Colin, the parents and all those who have helped to provide the team with some amazing footballing opportunities during their years at Meadow. To name a couple of their achievements - the team were SYL League Champions at U14s and U13s Cambersands Tour winners in 2016 and have championed the Meadow name in many locations, not only in the UK at numerous Tournaments, but touring in Europe too.
A massive thank you to Pete and Sian for the countless hours of volunteer work they have given to the club. Pete as pitch allocation officer and Vice Chairman and Sian as not only Tour organiser (a mammoth task), but also for her fundraising efforts helping at many social events, organising the Waitrose Community Matters tokens and many grant and funding applications. Sian has been instrumental in the club obtaining a lot of funding for work to the clubhouse and 3G, in particular the grant for our new floodlights. The whole family have contributed so much time and effort to the club. We are sure they will continue to be part of our community, but hopefully they can reclaim some of their weekends (after our Tournament)! Thank you so much from all of us. 👏🔴⚫️ #meadowfamily
